Web Design Brief
Like many businesses, Family First’s website was overdue for a redesign. Their existing site did many fundamental things well, but the lack of design flexibility of the CMS, use of stock images, and lack of mobile optimization didn’t reflect or support the successful business that Owner Dr. Angie had created. Dr. Angie wanted a website that communicates the focus on families, reflects the warm atmosphere patients experience, and does a better job of supporting her growing business.
Result and Response of Redesign
Through the Discovery and Planning Phase, we realized we needed to focus the entire website much more around Angie’s target market, which was primarily young mothers or mothers-to-be. We started with a fresh brand identity and organized a professional photo shoot. We then completely reorganized the site content into more intuitive sections. Next, we designed and built the site with a “mobile first” design philosophy, which meant making sure essential information was clearly laid out, easy to digest, and the next steps were well sign-posted for users.
We are very proud of the finished product. We think the website does a great job of conveying Angie’s passion and the atmosphere of the Wellness Center. Technically, it’s our best site yet – running on our own hosting servers, using SSL security and optimized for speed. It’s also a lot of fun to use on any device.
