Web Design Brief
Last Frontier was already an established name in the world of heli-skiing holidays when they approached us to develop their new website. They had a loyal international client base, but were looking to expand new skiers in new territories so they wanted a new logo and a redesigned multi-lingual, multi-featured website that would take them to the top of Google’s search results.
Result and Response of Redesign
As 90% of skiing websites were very white (including their’s), we asked Last Frontier to be brave and allow us to go for a ‘dark on light’ aesthetic. The motivation for which was to separate them (visually) from the competition and to enhance the incredible images they had from some of the world’s best action-sports photographers. From a user perspective, a $7-10,000 ski vacation is a high-consideration purchase, so we worked really hard on creating a website that immediately established trust, and structured the content so users were easily able to gather the information needed to make an informed decision. This was a large-scale project involving many contributors across many time-zones with many different needs to be met. The end result was a fantastic, visually-appealing website that really connected with Last Frontier’s audience and provided a solid platform for sales and marketing efforts.
